bulletDr David Iser    MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG, Grad Dip Human Nutrition

Experience Since Graduation - Has worked as a GP in Foster for more than 20 years, performing obstetrics, surgery, & anaesthetics. Also worked for a year in Bougainville, 6 months in the UK, & a brief stint in Canada.

Special Areas of Interest - Gastroscopies

Outside Interests - David initially put down "nil", wanting us all to believe that he was totally dedicated to medicine. However we know that he also enjoys surfing, skiing, bush walking, & his family.

 

bulletDr Phillip Worboys    MBBS, FRACGP, DRANZCOG

Experience Since Graduation - 3 Years of primarily hospital based post graduate experience including obstetrics & then rural GP training. Was practicing anaesthetics in Taunton, Somerset, UK before receiving a phone call from Foster in 1993. He has been working here ever since.

Special Areas of Interest - Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, & Minor Surgery

Outside Interests - Family (2 gorgeous daughters Maxi & Jaime). Holidays in the camper trailer. Surfing. Tennis. Golf. Singing!

 

bulletDr David Polmear    BSc, MBBS (Hons), DipObsRACGP, FRACGP

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated in 1988 from Monash University. He then spent 3 years working through various medical disciplines at Box Hill Hospital. In 1991 he spent 3 months in Foster whilst undertaking his GP training. He then worked as a GP in Burwood, but continued his affiliation with Box Hill Hospital with his involvement in the GP obstetrics unit. During this time he became involved in the RACGP training program as a medical educator. He came back to Foster in 1996 after an extended period of overseas travel.

Special Areas of Interest - Sports Medicine. Obstetrics. Allergies & Desensitisation. Medical Education. Board member of the South Gippsland Division of General Practice.

Outside Interests - Family (2 boys). Woodwork. Tennis / soccer / bushwalking. Photography. Travel.

 

bulletDr Owen Casson    MBBS, FRACGP

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated in 1994 from Monash University. Worked through general medicine & paediatric training at The Alfred & Royal Children's Hospital. After that he had an extended period of overseas travel, & then work in the UK. More recently he practiced as a GP in East Bentleigh for 5 years before coming to Foster in 2004.

Special Areas of Interest - Paediatrics. Chronic pain & the methadone program. Mental health. Anaesthetics.

Outside Interests - Family (Lian, Claudia, & Peggy the dog). Keen but non practicing sailor, golfer & cellist.

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated in 1984 Monash University. Has worked in a variety of hospitals including Mildura, Wodonga, Western General & Moorabbin. Has worked in general practice in Newstead Tasmania, Sandringham, & in Melbourne's Western Suburbs.

Special Areas of Interest - Women's health. Mental Health. Counselling. Geriatrics.

Outside Interests - Gardening (vegetables, herbs, etc). Healing & wholeness through the local Christian community. 2 Teenage daughters.

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated from Melbourne University in 1978. Had a few moves around Victoria and then spent 22 years in Berwick before making the move to Foster.

Special Areas of Interest - All facets of general rural practice.

Outside Interests - My family (wife and two daughters). All water sports, bush walking and cycling.

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated from Mashad University of Medical Sciences(Iran) 1999, worked as a GP and lived in Chabahar and outer suburbs of Mashad.Had a long holiday in Melbourne and got interested in working in country Victoria as a GP. Started in Orbost and also a stint in the Northern Hospital, then moved to Foster in 2007.

Special Areas of Interest - mental health.

Outside Interests - Family and friends, walking, cycling, blogging, ebaying and googling.

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated from Monash University in 2002. between graduating and commencing GP training at Foster in 2008 have worked in rural and metro hospitals and have provided Locum cover around Victoria. I have held several voluntary medical positions.

Special Areas of Interest - Obstetrics and rural General Practice.

Outside Interests - family, 2 sons, reading, swimming, cycling, running and motorsport.

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated MBBS from UNSW in 1980 then FPA (Family Planning Australia) in 1982. Worked in Auburn and ConcordHospital (Sydney) 1980/81 and LadyDavidsonHospital (Sydney) 1981. Since then have had two children and worked as a GP in Deniliquin for sixteen years. Women’s Health Clinic Collingwood/Fitzroy 7 years, and in Ireland for 7 months in 2004.

Special Areas of Interest - working with people who are motivated to change their lifestyle to improve their health. Interest in addiction medicine, mood disorders,

Outside Interests - Major interest in environmental issues – WARNING – very green orientated! (but don’t let that put you off)..

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated from Kabul university in 1995, worked for a short period of time in Kabul then moved to Melbourne. Worked at Peninsula Health and Southern Health for six years and has been working as a GP since 2008.

Special Areas of Interest - All aspects of General Practice especially mental health and Emergency Medicine.

Outside Interests - Family life (wife and two children). Jogging, soccer, reading and watching movies

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated 1998 Bachelor of Podiatry at LaTrobe University and graduated MBBS from Monash University in 2004. Since graduating have worked as an intern at the Alfred and Box Hill Hospitals gaining experience in medicine, paediatrics and surgery. GP Training at Foster in 2008. GP Training at Wonthaggi 2009. Advanced Rural Skills position in General Practice, Foster 2010

Special Areas of Interest - Internal medicine – 9cardiology, gastroenterology, respiratory) Healthy eating/nutrition. Paediatrics. .

Outside Interests - Photography – completed an applied photograpy course, Long distance running - Gold Coast & Melbourne Marathon.

 

bulletDr Tzy Ning Chuo

Experience Since Graduation - Graduated from University of Melbourne in 2005. Worked in Austin Hospital, Northern hospital and various subacute rehabilitation centres such as Bundoora Extended Care Centre, Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and Broadmeadows Health Service. Enjoyed a PGPPP term in Coolaroo Clinic and decided to commence rural general practice training in Foster in 2010.

Special Areas of Interest - Paediatrics. Women's Health. .

Outside Interests - Spending time with friends and family, drawing, reading books of the science fiction or fantasy genre and watching Pixar movies.
